Sponsored Rider Natalie Blundell and Algebra have been elevated to the National Elite Eventing Squad and named on the Shadow Olympic Squad for London 2012!!
Not surprising considering the consistency at which they have been performing at the 3 & 4 Star level, placing every time they go out.
Six years of focus and training have bought the dynamic duo to this point and the hard work is not over yet.
Many will be familiar with the story of Natalie and Billy Bathgate—having won the Adelaide 4* event in 1999 they looked certain to ride for Australia at Sydney 2000. Nat would have been just 19 yrs old.
But Billy was injured 4 months beforehand and never returned to full competition.
So, 12 years on, the prospect of achieving a goal set in motion by the National Pony Club Championships 1995, is on the cusp of being realised.
Here at Kiah Equine we have fingers and toes and eyes and fetlocks crossed wishing them the absolute best of luck for the coming months. |
