"I will never ride in anything but a WOW saddle in this lifetime - the change in the stallion, Byalee Romance, is phenomenal and together we are one like never before. I just can't wait to ride Grand Prix in this saddle - my stirrups have lengthened, my seat is more secure, my long-suffering back is loving the airborne ride!"

I have been using the WOW saddles for several years now and I still find the saddle the most comfortable on the market, and now I can say that they are also very durable. I ride several horses a day in the saddles in all sorts of Aussie conditions, and I am impressed that the leather hasn't worn out in the spots that I usually wear in my previous saddles.
I still love the close leg contact that provides me with greater feel, whilst also providing me with a lot of grip. This is very helpful in sticky situations in the cross country.
WOW Saddles technology is state of the art, which helps both the horse and rider achieve maximum performance and comfort. I can highly recommend the saddle to anyone who wants to get more out of your horse.

Mighty High has one of the narrowest and highest withers I've ever seen and proved extremely difficult to fit. Most off the shelf saddles put pressure on and in many cases caused severe rubbing of his wither even with extra pads and risers. On the rare occasion that we could satisfactorily fit a saddle for his back, it would be a challenge for me to ride effectively in it as I would be thrown out of balance by the angle of the seat. A WOW saddle was literally the only solution in our case. The modular design offered me a choice of both seat and flap options independent of the custom panel fit for Mighty High. The improvement in my riding was amazing, most notably over fences as I was finally in balance with my horse and found my lower leg to be much more secure. The other surprise was a lengthening of my dressage stirrups. I have been involved with Julia of Kiah Equine for more than a few years now and have witnessed the benefits of Flair technology during the many re-fittings required by Mighty High during his three day event preparations due to muscle development and fitness levels influencing his shape. Having owned WOW saddles for over three years, I can see no reason to try any other brand even for easier to fit horses. A change of horses or even a change in horse sports is possible with the one saddle due to the modular nature of the design making the WOW saddle a sensible investment for amateur and professional riders alike. Since we first met Katrina Millward and her lovely home-bred mare Delta we have watched them go from strength to strength. Five days after delivery of their saddle they achieved Preliminary Reserve Champion at National Young Rider Championships and now 18months later are preparing for outings at Medium. Along the way they have attained impressive scores of up to 78%.
When asked to contribute to our ‘One Word’ campaign, Katrina said “Unparalleled....there is no other saddle out there like it and believe me, I have ridden in quite a few”. Katrina Millward, NSW Katrina’s mother Jody, as Jody M Photography, is responsible for a number of beautiful images used by Kiah Equine on this website and our tradestands |

"All I can say is, literally, WOW - I feel like I am floating on air, the stallion ripples beneath me, his shoulders are free in a way I never thought possible, and he his hindquarters are engaged more than ever before. What a revelation!"
"Riding in a WOW saddle is like a hovercraft experience - you simply float across the arena, feeling like the hooves never touch the ground. It is like driving the most expensive car ever made and at a fraction of the price!" |

WOW is the most aptly named saddle I have ever come across! I was injured quite badly in a motor vehicle accident where I was crushed between vehicles as a pedestrian. My injuries were quite extensive but the ones that affected my riding the most (once I learnt to walk again first!) were the 8 fractures to my pelvis, 4 in the lower spine and hips with cracks akin to an eggshell – after you’ve tapped it on the side of the bowl!
My horse is quite wide and combined with a wide saddle, the stretching action required of my hips was just agonizing. Like all stubborn horse riders, I persisted but started looking around to see what was out there and whether this could be at least improved upon. I also had a sneaking suspicion that my saddle was a little narrow for my horse and was causing some pinching behind the wither... He pig-rooted into nearly every single flying change!
I saw a friend’s saddle which looked a little different and when asking her about it she cried ‘oh, this could really suit you! Have a ride! I think you’ll really like it.’. Well that was an understatement! After my first ‘WOW!’ moment when I first sat in the saddle, I just became more and more hooked! Not only was the pain less for me, but my horse loved it too producing two perfect flying changes with no resistance at all!
There is so much that is different about the Wow that it’s hard to explain in a short space (I could rave about it for hours!). The saddle is narrow across the twist which of course places you closer to the horse but for me means that the angle of and therefore pain in my hips and pelvis is greatly reduced. The totally unique Flair system absorbs and adapts to the horse’s movement resulting in no more painful grimaces as you come back from an extended trot – you are able to simply absorb the movement – resulting in not only a better transition, but much less pain for me – and probably the horse! No more thumping on his poor back. |

The flexibility of the saddle in how it is put together means that you are effectively buying a tailor made saddle, but one that you are able to ‘try before you buy’ as Julia fits and virtually builds a saddle for you during the trialing phase.
The only other thing I’d like to rave about in this limited space is Julia’s knowledge and service. After going through the exercise of trying, ordering and fitting my saddle, she is now someone I would count as a friend. Her knowledge, patience and experience is unbounded. Thanks Julia for helping me get back to enjoying riding again. Hope Damascus and I can do you proud and we fly the Wow logo with pride! Kirsty Moody, VIC |
